The inverted 'U' design of this air conditioner is great. You only lose about 2.5" of window. Our 1910 home has really thick outer walls and it fit perfect no need for brackets, it just sits at the correct slight tip so rain runs off it outside. Be sure to measure! Very quiet. I like that you can also use it just as a fan, and in that mode it tells you the room temp, so you know when to turn the air conditioner on. We have it in a room that needed another outlet anyhow and the electrician was impressed by the design and said the draw was low enough that using the other plug for a low draw item, like a lamp or even computer, would be fine in the same outlet. Very happy with this.
I did have to check on it because it hadn't shipped after a few weeks, but Antarctic Star was very responsive and after inquiry did get it shipped. Ordered during the initial tariff things, so that might have played a role.
