The school year started and a member of the family who works at the school was complaining about hot and cold-water accessibility. Especially with short breaks and changes throughout the day. My solution was to get a water dispenser like I saw at our old office. While looking around online, I discovered that a brand which we like – durability has a unit which will dispense hot water, cold water, and even make ice cubes. This was one of the no-brainer decisions, and I must admit that it works as advertised. You do need to follow the instructions and make sure you flush the system, but after the initial step, it is working without an issue. I was told that lots of other school personnel stopped by for a bit of ice. For hot water they use an electric kettle, which this dispenser beats hands down in ease of use (immediately). Cold water (unlike from this dispenser) is available, but again – this dispenser does that and in addition gets real ice cubes. A pleasure to use.

I think it's fair to say that many, if not most, of us do not drink enough water. Having a water dispenser at hand can go a long way to remedy this. But this water dispenser does so much more! COOL WATER DISPENSER: Cool (about 40°F) fresh tasting water is only a button push away. Because of how this cooler works, I was concerned the water would taste plastic. It does not - with one caveat (see below). Pressing the cold water button begins the water flow which is stopped by pressing the button again. While the risk of overflow is greater with this method, I like that I don't have to hold the button down during the fill. For me, the flow rate is plenty adequate. HOT WATER DISPENSER: This functions pretty much the same as the cool water dispenser. There is a separate hot water button with an associated child lock. This child lock affects hot water delivery only. Press the button to start delivery and press again to stop. Water is heated to about 175°F. ICE MAKER: Ice is accumulated in a bin below the cup tray and has a see-through window. Ice is bullet shaped and may be conveniently scooped from the ice holding bin. FUNCTION ENABLE: There are three buttons that select whether a particular function will be available. They are Heating, Cooling and Ice Making. If Heating and Cooling are disengaged water is delivered at room temperature. If Ice Making is off then no ice is made. HOW IT WORKS: I think it's important to understand how this works - especially if you are using the ice-maker. Water is delivered from the bottle to a cooling bin under the ice holding bin. That water is cooled there. When a demand for water is made, delivery is from this cooling bin - even if the Heating or Cooling function enable button is turned off. When ice is made it is stored in the ice bin. As the ice melts it is accumulated in the cooling bin below it. This water is then used for drinking water or ice making. That is, unlike a refigerator ice-maker which makes ice and stores it, this constantly recycles the ice/water to keep the ice bin full. If one uses a lot of ice then this isn't a problem. But if ice isn't removed often, the water in the cooling bin can become stale and potentially unsafe to drink. This is why, I think, the directions advise to drain the water from the cooling bin if water/ice isn't used for a few weeks. There is a drain port in back to accomplish this. TASTE AND SMELL: The cool water I get from this machine tastes fresh and devoid of any "plastic" taste - except when the ice-maker is engaged. Then the water does have a plastic taste. Typically hot water is combined with tea or other flavorings. However, drinking hot water alone also results in a plastic taste. Perhaps if I used the ice-maker or hot water functions consistently this would resolve. But for the reasons stated above I don't use the ice-maker often and have no consitent need for hot water. NOISE: The water dispenser is virtually silent except when the compressor kicks in. Then for about a minute there is mild to moderate noise. In my case the machine sits about three feet from my desk and I therefore notice it, but not to any annoyance. When dispensing hot water there is a buzzing sound that is again not an annoyance. CUP PLACEMENT: There is a non-removable sticker that states the obvious - where to place one's cup. For my tastes this is unsightly and I will attempt to remove this with an adhesive remover. VALUE: That this machine dispenses hot and cold water and ice makes its price quite reasonable. Even though I do not CONSISTENTLY use all of its function, I still like that it is a complete package!

Love that this machine not only gives me ice cold water but also hot enough water to brew my tea. I can also get a nice cup of ice nuggets for my other drinks. The main selling point for me was the option for my 5 gallon glass mountain valley water jugs were compatible. Definitely recommend

I had own a regular water dispenser but this one is so much better because of the ice! Definitely well made and nice ice production. Easy to set up and makes ice quickly and regulates the temperature well for cold and hot water. No leakage and nice water temperature. Looks nice and I raised it so that the ice was at a good height.

It’s compact, so it fits perfectly in my study room without taking up too much space. I love that I can turn the ice-making function off when we don’t need it to save energy, and switch it back on when we have guests and need extra ice. Super convenient and efficient — highly recommend!

This water cooler works great and is very convenient for both hot and cold water. The temperature control is quick and reliable the cold water is crisp and refreshing, and the hot water is perfect for tea or instant noodles. It’s quiet while running and doesn’t take up too much space. The design is sleek and fits well in our kitchen. Loading the water bottle is easy, and there are no leaks or spills. Overall, a great addition to our home or office!
